Urban Chic Leaves Baltimore

Urban Chic closes its doors in Harbor East

After seven years shopping the boutique’s fabulous selection of clothing, jewelry, and other accessories from top designers, we’re sad to say goodbye to Urban Chic Harbor East.

Although we’ll miss the convenience of the shop’s Baltimore location (811 Aliceanna St.)—which officially closed on Sunday, August 24—we’ll still have access to some of the same great styles (from lines like BB DakotaElla MossFinders KeepersJoieKeepsakeShoshannaTibi, and, so many more) at Urban Chic’s original, 10-year-old storefront in Georgetown (1626 Wisconsin Ave. NW, Washington, DC). And it you can’t make the trek to D.C., husband-and-wife team of owners Chris and Lindsay Buscher plan to launch an Ecommerce store in the near future.

After debuting in Georgetown in 2004, Urban Chic came to Baltimore in 2007 as one of the first independently owned retailers in Harbor East (the couple temporarily opened up shop in other areas, including Bethesda and Fairfax, VA).

Since opening, the Baltimore boutique has hosted several pop-up shops (like Mandalynn swimwear and Lauren Merkin handbags), trunk shows (Alex Mika jewelry, AG Jeans and Cynthia Steffe), holiday and seasonally-themed shopping events, wine and canvas parties, and more.

Check Urban Chic’s Facebook for news and any updates regarding the online shop.
