Whatever your ancestry, don some green and gold garb and get into the Irish spirit for St. Patrick’s Day this month. From pub-crawls and parades to jaunty jogs and jam bands, here are some ways to celebrate the Emerald Isle.

Canton Irish Stroll
Mar. 7: Looney’s Pub, 2900 O’Donnell St. 1-9 p.m. $12-20. 301-652-7712. St. Paddy’s starts early at this 14th annual Canton bar crawl of 17-plus pubs, including the likes of Claddagh, El Bufalo, Portside, Smaltimore, Tavern on the Square, and Walt’s Inn, with food and drink specials along the way.

Federal Hill Irish Stroll
Mar. 14: No Way Jose, 38 E. Cross St. 12-9 p.m. $12-20. 301-652-7712. For some good old-fashioned craic (Irish slang for “fun”), scramble along this 17th annual stroll of Fed Hill bars, with beers and bites at Abbey Burger Bistro, Bookmaker’s Cocktail Club, Mad River, MaGerks, Mother’s Grill, Ryleigh’s Oyster, and more.

St. Paddy’s Baltimore PubCrawl
Mar. 13, 14, 17: The Point in Fells, 1738 Thames St. Times Vary. $7.77-$25.00. 888-998-6609. Pregame for the holiday by strolling around Fells Point’s cobblestone streets and stopping by some of the most popular bars in the neighborhood, including The Point in Fells, Alexander’s Tavern, The Rockwell, and others. All participating bars will be featuring festive drink specials and an extended happy hour celebration on March 17 from 5-9 p.m.

Shamrocks and Shenanigans at Power Plant Live!
Mar. 14: 34 Market Place, 2-10 p.m. Free. 410-727-5483. This downtown nightlife attraction is throwing an all-day music festival with performances by local artists Pasadena, Dale and the Z Dubs, and Morning Fatty. Power Plant is also setting up a Leprechaun Obstacle Course, so be sure take advantage of its $5 green beer package if you’re in need of some liquid courage.

Claddagh Pub’s 20th Annual Meet in The Street
Mar. 13-14: 2918 O’Donnell St, Times vary. Free. 410-522-4220. Claddagh Pub is hosting this massive festival in Canton’s O’Donnell Square highlighting authentic Irish fare, live music by local bands like Phoenix Rising, Hot Tub Limo, and Kristen and the Noise, and, of course, plenty of beer. Sport your finest green gear and head to Canton to celebrate, because with heated tents on hand, this event will happen rain or shine.

An Poitin Stil: The Still’s St. Paddy’s Celebration in the County
Mar 9-17: 2323 York Road, Timonium, 11-12 a.m., 410-560-7900. If you’ll be celebrating from the county, throw on your favorite green garb and take advantage of The Still’s weeklong daily food and drink specials in honor of St. Paddy’s. Some of the highlighted eats will include $12 bangers and mash, shepherd’s pie, and corned beef and cabbage dishes. Drink specials to accompany all of the Irish fare will include $5 Tullamore Dew Drinks and $2.50 Miller Lite, Killian’s Red, and Blue Moon cans featured throughout the week.

Cat’s Eye Pub Annual St. Paddy’s Day Party
Mar 17: 1730 Thames St, 2 p.m.-1 a.m., 410-276-9866. Celebrate all things Irish by enjoying the sounds of traditional Celtic band Dogs Among the Bushes while indulging in the wide variety of unique brews on tap at this Fells Point bar.

Seventeen Days of Saint Patrick at Sláinte Irish Pub
Mar 1-17: 1700 Thames St., 7-2 a.m., 410-563-6600. St. Patrick’s Day is a month-long event at this Fells Point pub. Sláinte has planned an entire lineup full of whiskey tasting dinners, daily food and drink specials, and Irish dance performances scattered throughout the month, all leading up to the big day where the restaurant will open at 6 a.m.

Delia Foley’s Pub
Mar 14: 1439 S. Charles St., 12 p.m.-2 a.m., 443-682-9141. With classic offerings like a smoked corned beef Galway Reuben, Irish chicken roulade, and shepherd’s pie at the forefront of its menu, this Federal Hill pub is a must-try for diners looking to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with some authentic eats. Sip on $3 domestics, $4 Jameson drinks, $4 rails, and $4.50 Irish beers all day on March 14 to accompany all of the festive fare.

Liam Flynn’s Ale House
Mar 17: 22 W. North Ave., 12p.m.-2a.m., 410-244-8447. This Irish hangout, known for its unique brews and frequent jam sessions, has a lot to celebrate this year as St. Paddy’s week also marks the one year anniversary of the grand opening of its kitchen. In honor of the special occasion, Liam Flynn’s will be featuring a $12 corn beef and cabbage dish, $6 pints of Guinness and Murphy’s Irish Stout, and a special $6 Inniskilling Farmhouse Red Ale from Frey’s Brewing Company.

Galway Bay
Mar 17: 63 Maryland Ave, Annapolis, 11-12 a.m., 410-263-8333. This Annapolis restaurant will be celebrating its Irish roots with an a la carte lunch menu and a three-course prix-fixe dinner menu for $29.99. Lunch options will include Irish lamb stew and corned beef and cabbage, while the dinner menu will feature Limerick Chicken with asiago cream sauce, and Wicklow Leg of Lamb topped with a red wine mushroom demi-glace. Galway Bay’s sister restaurants, Killarney House and Brian Boru, will feature the same holiday specials.

James Joyce Irish Pub & Restaurant
Mar 10-17: 616 S. President St., 11-2 a.m., 410-727-5107. The countdown begins a week early at this Harbor East pub. Events on the calendar leading up to the 17th include trivia night featuring a deal on fish and chips, the Tullamore Dew Whiskey Dinner, a Guinness Happy Hour, and a St. Patrick’s Day Parade Party on March 15 featuring live Irish music. James Joyce will open early on St. Patrick’s Day, hosting a huge bash with live music, heated tents, and tons of Irish fare.

Kegs & Eggs: St. Patty’s Breakfast at Dick’s Last Resort:
Mar 15: 621 E. Pratt St., 8-11 a.m., 443-453-5961. Notorious for its politically incorrect servers who are always on-hand to provide a laugh, this Inner Harbor restaurant is a great spot to celebrate one of the jolliest holidays of the year. Start the day early with a dockside breakfast featuring Irish coffee made with Tullamore whiskey, free tots and eggs, and green beer.

The Harp Restaurant & Catering
Mar. 13-17: 8706 Bel Air Road, Nottingham, 11-12 a.m. 410-529-4277. From Irish mac and cheese to shepherd’s pie, this restaurant’s huge menu offers all of the essentials, and The Harp is celebrating by hosting tons of fun events leading up to St. Patrick’s Day. Features of the extravaganza will include free glass engravings with the purchase of a pint, a family fun day with face painting and Irish music, and a beat the clock deal on March 14 that increases the price of a $2 pint of Guinness by $1 every hour.

Towson Hot Bagels
Through Mar 17: Various locations including 16 Alleghany Ave., Towson, 6 a.m.-5 p.m., 410-337-0006. This well-known breakfast and lunch hangout is getting in on the fun by putting green bagels on its menu this month. Be sure to call ahead if you’re looking to cater a St. Patty’s day fete with this THB specialty.

Annapolis Irish Week
Mar. 7-17: Downtown Annapolis. Locations and times vary. 410-280-0445. This 10-day Celtic celebration kicks off with a downtown pub-crawl and evening hooley (Irish slang for “party”), followed by a St. Patrick’s Day Parade, Irish-coffee and perfect-pint competitions, history lesson dinners, live music, and more.

4th Annual Shamrock Shindig
Mar. 15: Pierce’s Park, Pier 5. 10:30 a.m.-2 p.m. Free. 443-743-3308. Head to the harbor and join in the pre-parade fun with food trucks, booze, family activities, and live music by Philly-based Celtic band, Barleyjuice.

Shamrock 5K
Mar. 15: Charles St. & Mulberry sts. 1:15 p.m. $45. 410-308-1870. Participate in this festive 5K and enjoy a jolly jog before the parade, as well as a post-run party with live music and free beer.

St. Patrick’s Day Parade
Mar. 15: Washington Monument, 699 N. Charles St. 2 p.m. Free. Starting at the Washington Monument and ending at the Inner Harbor, Baltimore’s St. Paddy’s Parade celebrates Ireland and its heritage, with a bounty of floats, marching bands, and green attire.

Dundalk’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade
Mar. 14: Logan Village Shopping Center, 3409 Dundalk Ave. 11 a.m. Free. Celebrate the Irish heritage of Dundalk’s founder, Henry McShane, by taking in the sights and sounds of local musicians and vintage vehicles prancing through parts of Old Dundalk, Dungalow Road, and Shipping Place.

St. Paddy’s Week at Kelsey’s Irish Pub
Mar 11-17: 8480 Baltimore National Pike, Ellicott City, 11-2 a.m., 410-418-9076. With offerings like mussels simmered in Guinness-infused broth, corned beef burgers, and shepherd’s pie with red wine gravy, this Ellicott City pub puts a modern twist on Irish favorites. Enjoy daily specials from March 11-17 including $5 Jameson drinks, $4 Irish coffees, $3 pints of Guinness, and even a family parade day on the 15th featuring live music, a balloon artist, and face painting.

St. Patrick’s Day Tea at the Carroll County Farm Museum
Mar. 14-17: Carroll County Farm Museum, 500 S. Center St., 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. $20. 410-386-3880. This Westminster landmark will be hosting an elegant tea party in its recently remodeled Carroll Tea Room featuring sweet and savory snacks for all attendees. Tickets include tea, museum admission, and an exclusive farmhouse tour.

Saint Patrick’s Snakes
Mar 15: Robert E. Lee Park, 1000 Lakeside Drive, 2-4 p.m. $3. 410-887-4154. Legend has it that good-old Saint Patrick banished all of the snakes from the Emerald Isle back in the day. But even though Ireland may be lacking in snakes, Charm City has plenty of them. Join the rangers at Robert E. Lee Park to meet some of the slithering creatures and create a festive craft to celebrate the holiday.

A Wee Bit O’Blarney at Everyman Theatre
Mar 17: Everyman Theatre, 315 W. Fayette St., 10:30-11 a.m. $15. 443-615-7055. Dress up your little leprechauns ages 2-4 in their fanciest green attire and head to Everyman Theatre to celebrate with this Irish-inspired workshop full of drama, music, and movement. A take-home craft is also included in the price of admission.
