Style & Shopping My Top Ten by Claudia Towles Owner of Amuse Toys shares her favorite things. By By Lauren Bell | Photography by David Colwell | August 2015 NARS AFGHAN RED LIPSTICK: While on a business trip to Chicago, a colleague convinced me I needed this, and she was right. I don’t wear much makeup, but when I do, it is Nars Afghan Red. MAVI DENIM JACKET: I picked up this jacket at a neighborhood boutique (Babe.) and rarely take it off. Goes with everything. LG TONE+ HBS900 INFINIM BLUETOOTH HEADSET RED HARMAN KARDON HEADPHONES: Since I’m always moving around the stores, I need a way to take calls. These are comfortable, retract, and don’t get caught in my hair. Yes, that does matter! EARRINGS: A hand-picked gift from my son, Sebastian, this past Christmas. Up until he gave me these, I only wore studs. He’s pretty proud to have pushed me to branch out. FIRST AID BEAUTY ULTRA REPAIR CREAM: When you own a toy store, it’s hard to escape cardboard. Opening boxes isn’t very glamorous; this makes my hands feel like I just got a mani. HOBO WALLET: One side is all business and the other is personal. I know, not the sexiest of reasons to love it, but it’s the littlest things that keep me sane. Also doubles as a clutch! CANON EOS 5D DSLR: I love to take pictures. In fact, my husband and son think I have a problem. MONOPRICE PORTABLE BATTERY BACKUP: I use my phone. A lot. This power-packed battery makes sure I am never without juice for my phone or camera. JOANN’S KITCHEN BIBIMBAP: Their traditional breakfast fare is great, but go for the Korean dishes. Their bibimbap is my favorite way to start the day. BLENDTEC BLENDER: All those other days that I don’t eat bibimbap, I start the day with a green smoothie. This thing is turbo-charged.
