A bralette is an unconstructed bra usually made with lace or delicate fabrics that is unlined, unpadded, and wire-free.
“They provide support and comfort without the intensity that you get from specially designed underwire or pushup bras,” says Polina Hansen, owner of Polina’s Privé in Fells Point.
Perfect for layering year round, bralettes come in many silhouettes and styles that work for women of all shapes and sizes.
“I think there is a misconception that bralettes aren’t for everyone,” says Cat Constantine, store manager of South Moon Under in Harbor East. “Not every style works for every person, but there is a bralette for every body type.”
