Today is painter Larry Scott's birthday. Scott, who died from a heart attack last December, was one of the city's most beloved artists and regularly held court at Xando's in Charles Village. He would have been 51 years old.
It's a good day to light a candle in his memory and listen to John Coltrane's A Love Supreme (repeatedly).
The above photo, taken in Larry's studio not long after he passed, shows his work table just as he left it.
