Of the 14 artists selected as finalists for the the Sixth Annual Trawick Prize—a juried art competition sponsored by the Bethesda Arts & Entertainment District—five are from Baltimore: Lynn Cazabon, Dawn Gavin, Bernhard Hildebrandt, Kay Hwang, and Tony Shore (who was featured in the March issue of Baltimore). Shore's on quite a roll—he also won last year's Sondheim Prize.
The winners will be announced on September 3rd at Heineman Myers Contemporary Art in Bethesda. The Best in Show winner comes away with $10,000, second place gets $2,000, and third place will be awarded $1,000.
The finalists' work will be exhibited at Heineman Myers from September 3rd to September 27th.
