The Zappa Family Trust has, once again, mined its vaults for material and released One Shot Deal, a compilation of performances from the early 1970s through the early 1980s. It's something of a scattershot collection, but the epic "Australian Yellow Snow" will certainly please the faithful. Zappa's loyal Baltimore fans should listen for "St. Alfonzo's Pancake Breakfast."
Maybe some of you were at Zappa's 1967 concert at Eastern High School. That's right, Eastern High School. The above photo was taken at that show by Highlandtown native Michael Maltese. You may have seen his photos of Zappa, Neil Young, Led Zeppelin, the Rolling Stones, and others in our December 2007 issue.
