Mi Ami Heat

They sound like they could be straight outta Baltimore's Wham City collective, but Mi Ami hails from San Francisco. On its new disc, Watersports, the band caterwauls through seven songs that bring local heroes Ponytail to mind, that is, if Ponytail's music were constructed on a foundation of tribal percussion (a la early Savage Republic). It figures to make for a rousing and sizzling live show, which you can check out tonight at Floristree. And you won't want to miss the openers—Thank You and Lexie Mountain Boys are also on the bill.
