
Stoop Storytelling, the popular series featuring locals telling stories about themselves, returns to Centerstage this week, July 9-11, for a series of live radio shows called "Baltimoored: Summer in the City."
According to Stoop organizers, the shows will "celebrate being stuck in Baltimore for the summer, waxing poetic (and comedic) about steamed crabs, sno-ball stands, duckpin bowling, Orioles baseball, and other famous (and infamous) local institutions.
You can also expect old-time comedy sketches and live music by Caleb Stine, Arty Hill, Ellen Cherry, and the 5th L.
It promises to be great fun, and WYPR will broadcast a two-hour program culled from the three shows on July 17th and 24th at noon and 7 pm.
