The Reginald Lewis Museum and Civic Frame—a non-profit that encourages critical thinking about pressing social issues—host an intriguing double feature and panel discussion this afternoon. They'll be screening Chisolm '72: Unbossed & Unbought and Adam Clayton Powell, a pair of documentaries profiling two bold and groundbreaking political figures. The discussion will tackle thorny issues relating to race and gender, with a panel that includes Sherrilyn Ifill, Rev. Frank Reid, and Larry Young. That's quite a group. Civic Frame's April Yvonne Garrett, who worked with Baltimore on our year-long "Divercity" series in 2006, will moderate what promises to be a lively talk.
