Folk Art, Eastern Shore Style

Last weekend, I revisited Danny Doughty's gallery inside the Joie de Vivre shop in Cambridge. I had attended an opening a few months ago that featured, along with the colorful and spirited artwork, a spread that included clam chowder, ham on sweet potato biscuits, and carrot cake—all of it made by Doughty, an Eastern Shore native. It was a blast. Now, I see he's strung what looks like laundry lines across the space and reconstructed an old oyster shed that houses metal work. I can't wait to see what he does next.
