Erik Proulx lost his job in advertising and made a film about... you guessed it... folks who'd lost jobs in advertising. But instead of focusing on the devastating effects of unemployment, Proulx found people, like himself, who reinvented themselves in creative ways after getting fired. His film, Lemonade, tells their stories clearly, succinctly, and effectively—from the nightmare of getting laid off to dreams no longer deferred—in about 40 minutes. Proulx's timely film screens 7 pm Wednesday at The Windup Space, as part of the Second Shore film series. A discussion with local professionals who've lost jobs and then pursued more meaningful endeavors will follow. The film's free, but a donation is requested.
