Howard Alden, who sounds like a reincarnation of Django Reinhardt, plays Germano's Wednesday night. Alden coached Sean Penn for his Django-inspired role in Woody Allen's 1999 film, Sweet and Lowdown, and played many of the guitar parts you hear in the movie. And I'll bet you can pick up a copy of Alden's I Remember Django CD at the Germano's show, which will also feature vocalist Jeanne Gies, who's been gigging around New York with Alden. You can expect stellar, swinging versions of classics such as "Mad About the Boy," "Lover, Come Back to Me," and "There Will Never Be Another You." Showtimes are 7:30 and 9:30.
