Theater lovers are in for a treat this weekend. Jersey Boys, the Tony-winning musical, starts its run at the Hippodrome, Irene Lewis’ excellent production of Pinter’s The Homecoming is at Centerstage, and the Strand mounts a stage adaptation of Joan Didion’s The Year of Magical Thinking.
And keep in mind that Let Me Down Easy, the latest one-woman show by Baltimore native/national treasure Anna Deavere Smith, is at Arena Stage in D.C. That’s where I’ll be on Sunday, pre-Super Bowl.
Tomorrow, the artist studios at the Bromo Seltzer Tower are open from 1-5pm, legendary Scots guitarist Archie Fisher performs at the Carroll Arts Center, and Misstallica, an all-female Metallica tribute group, plays Sonar.
Enjoy.
