The BSO's 2011-2012 season will celebrate Revolutionary Women, according to an announcement by the orchestra and Marin Alsop (the BSO's in-house revolutionary woman). Highlights will include tributes to Joan of Arc and Harriet Tubman, as well as performances of pieces by Joan Tower and Jennifer Higdon, and guest appearances by Hilary Hahn and Nadja Salerno-Sonnenberg.
