Well, it must be the new Jimmy Joe Roche/Dan Deacon film! The 17-minute "Hilvarenbeek" played at last weekend's Maryland Film Fest and just went up on the IFC site.
A curious piece, it was made during Roche and Dan Deacon's three-week residency at last year's Incubate arts festival in the Netherlands. According to press materials, it "interweaves the Baltimore DIY aesthetic, popular Americana, the rich beauty of the Netherlands, and Dutch culture into a surreal narrative." It's all that—and more.
Deacon also just announced a handful of tour dates, including a May 29th show at the GSpot with Celebration (!) and Ed Shrader.
