It's a long weekend, so there's ample opporunity to get out and explore. Local faves J Roddy Walston and the Business play the Ottobar tonight and tomorrow, and it's sure to be a rockin' good time. Comics and zine fans should head to Atomic Books to celebrate the release of the Baltimore Time Travel comic anthology and the Snobaltimore: A Guide to Baltimore Area Snoball Stands zine. And Spotlighters Theatre is mounting a production of John Patrick Shanley's excellent play, Doubt. Miami's Mad Romance puts a variety of spins on jazz at Germano's, where Jazz Update—featuring Towson prof Jeff Antoniuk—plays selections from its Brotherhood CD tomorrow night. And keep in mind that Pygmalion is playing at Everyman, and it's always a good idea to check out AVAM's What Makes Us Smile?—it's sure to be a hit with out-of-town visitors—or the Jewish Museum's show of Loring Cornish's visionary art. Have fun.
