What to Do? What to Do?

You still have enough time catch Arty Hill tonight at my favorite neighborhood bar in Fells Point, 1919 Fleet. You can probably guess the address. While you’re there, check out proprietor Sally Hutchins’s sprawling photo collages on the walls. The African-American Festival takes place Saturday and Sunday at M&T Bank Stadium. Admission is free, and Charlie Wilson—remember the Gap Band?—headlines on Sunday. That night, don’t forget to check out the season finale of Treme on HBO. Directed by Ernest Dickerson, the episode—with a story by David Simon and Anthony Bourdain!—revolves around Jazz Fest. And jazz fans won’t want to miss Don Braden at the BMA’s Sculpture Garden on Saturday at 7 pm.

Have a happy Fourth!
