I ran into artist Warren Linn at MICA yesterday, and he told me he's headed to NYC for tonight's opening of Rolling Stone and the Art of the Record Review at the Society of Illustrators' Museum of American Illustration. Linn has done some fantastic work for Rolling Stone over the years, and his piece that accompanied the magazine's review of Public Enemy's Fear of a Black Planet ranks among his best (see above). It's no wonder it got chosen for this show, which closes October 22. Baltimore readers might recall that Linn did the cover for the Gary Thomas "See Hear" CD that was included in the September 2005 issue.
