Pianist Christopher O'Riley (host of NPR's "From the Top") and cellist Matt Haimovitz bring their ambitious "shuffle.play.listen" show to An Die Musik tonight. It's the duo's only Baltimore/DC appearance, and the set list figures to include a jaw-dropping array of tunes, from Bach and Piazzolla to Radiohead, Nirvana, Arcade Fire, and the Cocteau Twins. According to press materials, the concert "embraces a new kind of listening public who mix Wagner with Lady Gaga on their iPods, exploring new sounds and moving comfortably between genres." Sure, but it also just sounds like a helluva lot of fun. The show starts at 7:30 pm.
