The Gary Thomas-curated Jazz at the Hopkins Club series continues tonight with saxophonist Russell Kirk and his band, The Path, which includes Grammy-winning drummer Terry Lynne Carrington. Shows are at 8:30 and 10 pm. Pianist Lafayette Gilchrist and Jazz Lunch play 2640, and funk stalwarts The Almighty Senators will be at 8x10. Theatre Project presents an evening of cutting edge dance with Dakshina/Daniel Phoenix Singh Dance Company and Deep Vision Dance Company. Bluegrass duo Walker & Jay join Black Cherry Puppet Theatre for Between Mean, a new piece that explores, "What would happen if the devil stole a man's wife only to send her home because she was so ornery?" The show starts at 8 pm at the Creative Alliance.
The Brothers Size continues its run at Everyman—don't sleep on this one, shows are selling out!—and Sondheim's Into the Woods is at Centerstage.
Bruce Springsteen brings the Wrecking Ball tour to Verizon Center tomorrow night. But I don't think anything's gonna top the show he did at 1st Mariner in 2009.
