Razor & Tie's upcoming Occupy This Album—a four-disc set of music by, for, and inspired by Occupy Wall Street—kicks off with local folkie Matt Pless' spirited "Something's Got to Give." He's in great company, with the likes of Willie Nelson, Yoko Ono, Steve Earle, Ani DiFranco, Patti Smith, Thievery Corporation, Tom Morello, and dozens of other left-leaners.
If you're in New York, Pless will play a record release party at City Winery on May 8 (this disc comes out May 15), and I'm sure he'll have a few local gigs later this spring. He'll also be at the Hot August Blues fest on August 18 at Oregon Ridge.
