Baltimore's Ali Miller and Laini Nemett have won the "Best In Show" and "Young Artist" prizes, respectively, in the Bethesda Painting Awards. Miller was awarded $10,000, and Nemett pocketed $1,000. Miller's "Fly on the Wall" is above, left. Nemett's "In Lakech (I Am Another Yourself)" is below.

Raised in New York, Miller received an MFA from MICA's Hoffberger School of Painting in 2012. Laini is the daughter of Barry Nemett, chair of MICA's Painting Department.
On Friday, you can check out their work at Gallery B (7700 Wisconsin Ave, Suite E), as part of the Bethesda Art Walk. The exhibition will be on view through June 30th.
