Reclusive r&b superstar D'Angelo is coming to D.C.'s Verizon Center on August 26th! It's a double-bill with Mary J. Blige, and tickets go on sale, via Ticketmaster, this Saturday.
Not so long ago, it seemed like D'Angelo might become his generation's Sly Stone, but reports have surfaced about a new album produced by Questlove, and his recent Bonnaroo appearance and handful of European shows have earned rave reviews.
I'd rate Voodoo as the best r&b album of the 2000s, and his return is most welcome.
