Renee Stout Wins Sondheim Prize

This evening, artist Renee Stout took home $30,000 for winning the Janet & Walter Sondheim Artscape Prize. Stout's mixed-media pieces and shrine-like installations were a highlight of last year's Material Girls exhibition at the Reginald Lewis Museum. You can check out work by Stout and other Sondheim finalists at the BMA until July 29th. Her piece, The Rootwoman's Worktable, is pictured above.
