Baltimore Design School Names New Principal

Nathan Burns, who's been assistant principal at City College since 2009, has been named principal of the Baltimore Design School. Burns spent the past decade working in the Baltimore and Prince George's school systems and was named Outstanding Program Coordinator by the Maryland State Department of Education in 2010. He's a graduate of Frostburg State.

Baltimore Design School launched last year to prepare middle and high schoolers for careers in the design field. Currently located at Winston Middle School, BDS will move into a newly revonated facility (the Lebow building, at Oliver and Barclay) in the fall of 2013.
