A new Dan Deacon app just launched, and it looks promising. At shows, it will allow Deacon to synchronize light and sound from concertgoers' smartphones and make the shows even more interactive (which I didn't think was possible). The trailer suggests the app will turn your phone's screen into a light show, its speaker into an instrument, and its L.E.D. into a strobe. His fall tour kicks off tonight in Cleveland, and it will be interesting to see what effect the app has. By the time Deacon and crew get to the 9:30 Club on November 17th, I'll bet it's pretty insane. The app also includes tour updates and a link to Deacon's website.
