Simon Blasts Romney

Wire/Treme creator David Simon blasted Mitt Romney yesterday in a blog post criticizing the candidate for stating that he's paid at least 13 percent in taxes. Simon noted that he hasn't paid taxes at that rate since he was in college. He also wrote that he doesn't mind "[paying] at the rate appropriate to my earnings," which certainly make him a one-percenter. In fact, Simon said he has no problem "writing the check to the same government that provided the economic environment that allowed for such incomes." When's the last time you heard that?
