What to Do? What to Do?

silopanna

G. Love, Cake, Citizen Cope, and Robert Randolph headline tomorrow's Silopanna Music Festival, which also features local faves J. Roddy Walston and Jimmie's Chicken Shack. Music starts at 11 am at the Anne Arundel County Fairgrounds. Classic rock fans can check out Grand Funk, Boston, and Kansas at Aberdeen Proving Grounds. That show starts at 7 pm. And the always amazing ShakeMore Festival takes place in Westminster, with the legendary Half Japanese, Zomes, Coo Coo Rockin' Time, and many others on the bill. American Sugar, a solo exhibition of photographer Joe Giordano's work, opens at Gallery CA (City Arts Gallery) in Station North. The show promises to be "a confrontational look at America's addiction to sugar, sex, and insulin."

Tonight, an exhibition of Martha Cooper's photos of the Open Walls Baltimore project opens at Station North Arts Cafe. The reception starts at 5 pm. Down the street at the Windup Space, Boister (fronted by my lovely wife, Anne Watts) plays a triple bill with Dead Whale Ramblers and The Barnyard Sharks (which includes Aaron Henkin, Baynard Woods, and Cliff Murphy).
