There's some great music happening tomorrow. On his current tour, country sophisticate Lyle Lovett isn't big or large, just unplugged, and he brings an acoustic ensemble to the Lyric. If Lovett's latest album, Release Me, is any indication, it should be full of surprises (most all of them pleasant). Local prog rockers Alakazam make their live debut at Orion Studios—it's an all ages, BYOB show, starting at 8 pm. And the Summer Spirit Festival is at Merriweather with Erykah Badu, Sharon Jones, Common, and what figures to be a spirited tribute to recently departed go-go legend Chuck Brown. Gates open at 3 pm.
