What to Do? What to Do?

The Baltimore Book Festival continues this evening with a "Baltimore Bred" panel (at 5 pm, with "Best Of Baltimore" winner Natalie Standiford and others), music by Junkyard Saints (5 pm), and a reading by Amy Goodman (7 pm). Tomorrow's highlights include One Maryland One Book author Steven Galloway (The Cellist of Sarajevo) at noon, Michael Tucker (3 pm), and Laura Lippman (5 pm).

Tonight, Lafayette Gilchrist plays the Windup Space, and a Woody Guthrie Tribute lights up the Creative Alliance. Tomorrow, Baltimore Soundstage hosts its Sunday Gospel Brunch, and David Byrne and St. Vincent play Strathmore. Their brass-heavy version of "Burning Down the House" alone is worth the price of admission.
