Jane Golden, head of Phiadelphia's celebrated Mural Arts Program, will give a talk at MICA next Monday. Golden transformed the program, which began in 1984 as an anti-graffiti initiative, from a tiny city agency into a world-renowned community development model that's produced more than 3,500 pieces of public art. Her talk, which begins at 10:30 am in the Graduate Studio Center (on North Avenue), will address the relationship between public art and community engagement.
