J. Scott Fuqua's recent children's book, Calvert the Raven in the Battle of Baltimore, has been chosen to represent Maryland in the National Book Festival's "52 Great Reads" program. Sponsored by the Library of Congress, "52 Great Reads" coincides with this weekend's National Book Festival and highlights one book from each state that reflects the region's culture and people. Fuqua's book, published by Bancroft, will represent Maryland.
Closer to home, you can catch Fuqua at the Baltimore Book Festival on Friday September 27. At 2 pm, he and artist/designer/photographer Steve Parke will discuss "DIY Graphic Novels" at the Pratt Library Tent.
