They couldn't be more opposite: cartoonist/writer Lynda Barry brings her hard-earned wit and whimsy to Goucher tonight, while legendary writer Stephen Dixon brings a hard-earned antithesis of whimsy to The Ivy. They're both geniuses, so it's a tough choice. These events are free and open to the public, but online reservations are required for Barry. Dixon—who has an excellent new book, His Wife Leaves Him—reads at 7 pm; Barry goes on at 8 pm (in Goucher's Athenaeum).
