Baltimore's always had an impressive indie graphic design community. What sets Charles Village's Post Typography apart (headed by 26-year-old Bruce Willen, left, and Nolen Strals, 28, both MICA grads) is that they've made the jump from local jobs and projects done for friends and bands (they're also part of the "graphic design punk concept band," Double Dagger) to serious national gigs. You've probably seen their designs in The New York Times, Wired, and the new Portfolio magazine; more high-profile jobs including book jackets and work for Esquire are on the way.
