Mike Rowe for President?

As if we couldn't love Mike Rowe any more, the Baltimore-bred host of Dirty Jobs (and Ford truck pitchman) just testified in front of the Senate—check out the fancy suit—advocating for a national campaign to recognize the value of skilled labor. This is in conjunction with a new multimedia iniative he started with the Discovery Channel called "Discover Your Skills," that will "provide unemployed and underemployed Americans with access to resources for obtaining marketable job skills while also raising the awareness of employment opportunities."

Mike starts his speech by praising his grandfather, Carl Knobel, a master electrician from Baltimore. "For most of his life," he said, "my grandfather woke up clean and came home dirty. In between, he accomplished things that were nothing short of miraculous." Awww.
