
As part of its ongoing Sustainability Speaker Series, Baltimore Green Works presents Wenonah Hauter, the executive director of Food & Water Watch, Feb. 12, at 7 p.m. at the Enoch Pratt Free Library, Central Branch.
Hauter is the author of the recently published book, “Foodopoly: The Battle Over the Future of Food and Farming in America.”
Hauter also manages a northern Virginia organic family farm that helps provide vegetables to more than 500 families in the Washington, D.C.-area via a Community Supported Agricultural program.
Baltimore Green Works partners with the Enoch Pratt Free Library and the Sustainability Speaker Series is supported by the Living Classrooms Foundation and Lorenz, Inc. Tens of thousands of Ravens fans gathered outside of City Hall to welcome the Super Bowl Champion Ravens back to Baltimore this morning. Many, like Marchelle Wilson of Glen Burnie, said they had been waiting since 5 a.m. "I just want to see Ray," she told us. In the surrounding buildings, tons of people pressed their faces against windows and hung out on parking garage balconies just to get a glimspe.
