Mayoral candidate releases rap song

This could definitely be filed under "only in Baltimore." Mayoral candidate Frank Conaway released a campaign rap song on his website.

The song—coming in at exactly 1:00—implores voters to elect Frank Conaway and "worry about the crime around the way." Other clever rhymes include Stephanie Rawlings-Fake and rhyming Catherine Pugh with, well, poo. The rap also takes a shot at Otis Rolley, saying "I can go and watch Martin if I want to see you."

While it isn't certain that the campaign song improves Conaway's chances, it's at least receiving some online attention. One tweet stated, "Maybe hire a graphic designer, not a rapper?" (See graphic, pictured).

For a more, ahem, traditional take on the mayoral candidates, look out for our September issue.
