The Washington Post ♥s Baltimore!

Not that we're complaining, but did someone from the Baltimore Office of Promotion and the Arts pay off the Post's Frances Stead Sellers to write this glowing article? Hey, I guess the Post is simply obligated to print the truth!

Here's the title of the story: Baltimore Integrity Trumps D.C. Importance.

And here's a salient quote:

But all in all, Baltimore’s not a Very Important Place — which is just what its residents like about it. People go to Washington for opportunity; when they come to Baltimore they find community. The one’s about work, while the other’s about life. And not la-di-da Georgetown-style life.

Sellers also goes on to note that our real estate is way cheaper, our crabs are way more awesome, our neighborhoods are way more inviting, and our violent crime rate, while comparable to D.C.'s, has at least managed to inspire a great T.V. show (The Wire).

Basically, Sellers has a major crush on Charm City. Right back at ya, Frances.
