According to reports, developers are proposing a return of the iconic Baltimore hair metal club, Hammerjacks, near M&T Bank Stadium and envisioned as part of an entertainment zone around the new Horseshoe casino.
Earlier this summer, the Baltimore Business Journal reported that Kevin Butler, an Anne Arundel County businessman who bought the rights to the Hammerjacks name and trademark several years ago—Hammerjacks T-shirts can still be had online—was working with developers to reincarnate Hammerjacks in the football stadium's parking lot. Not far, actually, from the old Hammerjacks location at 1101 S. Howard St. And yes, Guns 'N Roses, like most, if not all, of the big name glam rock bands, did play Hammerjacks: Oct. 18, 1987, according to an online source.
