Baltimore’s “Don’t be a Bully, be a Super Hero” streaker — 26-year-old Mark Harvey of Severn — likes to run around M&T Bank Stadium and Camden Yards in his Batman underwear and cape.

Wednesday, dressed for court in a shirt and tie, Harvey was sentenced to a weekend in jail, a $400 fine and 80 hours of community service on trespassing and disorderly conduct charges.

Worst of all: the punishment includes a lifetime ban from the two ballparks.

Harvey made national news, even receiving a call from The Ellen Degeneres Show, after racing around in his Batman costume during the Ravens-New England Patriots game Sept. 23 — attention he used to support his Bigger Than Bullying campaign.

Baltimore senior editor Jess Blumberg interviewed Harvey for our December issue:

“In high school, I always tried to make everyone laugh,” Harvey told Blumberg. “When I saw kids getting bullied, I would stick up for them. It’s all about being the bigger person.”

After a couple of nights in Central Booking and sitting through sentencing, however, Harvey appears ready to hang up his cape.

“I’ll tell you what, it’s the end of Batman,” Harvey said afterwards, according to BaltimoreRavens.com
