Baltimore Green Works: “Foodopoly: The Battle Over the Future of Food and Farming in America”

As part of its ongoing Sustainability Speaker Series, Baltimore Green Works presents Wenonah Hauter, the executive director of Food & Water Watch, Feb. 12, at 7 p.m. at the Enoch Pratt Free Library, Central Branch.

Hauter is the author of the recently published book, “Foodopoly: The Battle Over the Future of Food and Farming in America.”

Hauter also manages a northern Virginia organic family farm that helps provide vegetables to more than 500 families in the Washington, D.C.-area via a Community Supported Agricultural program.

Baltimore Green Works partners with the Enoch Pratt Free Library and the Sustainability Speaker Series is supported by the Living Classrooms Foundation and Lorenz, Inc. Past speakers have included author Michael Pollan and Josh Fox, the filmmaker of the documentary “Gasland.” Hauter will also be speaking and doing a book signing earlier on Feb. 12, at Johns Hopkins, 615 N. Wolfe St., room W1020, from noon – 1:30 p.m.
