Since 1996, Digestive Disease Associates (DDA) has established itself as the region’s premier provider of high-quality medical care for gastrointestinal (G.I.) and liver disorders. Our 16 board-certified, fellowship-trained physicians, assisted by two nurse practitioners, are leaders in their field. DDA physicians have been recognized nationally by U.S. News and World Report, as well as locally by Baltimore magazine and other publications. Responding to increasing demand for our services, DDA recently welcomed Dr. Missale Solomon to the practice and is proud to now have three female G.I. providers on staff in a largely male specialty.
DDA handles the full spectrum of G.I. conditions, ranging from routine clinic visits for heartburn, indigestion, diarrhea, etc. to complex procedures. When procedures are needed, they are performed at one of the practice’s state-of-the-art endoscopy centers. In addition to its locations in Catonsville and Columbia, DDA provides care at Howard County General Hospital in Columbia and at Saint Agnes Hospital in Baltimore.
Patient education is a cornerstone of our practice. DDA emphasizes the importance of colorectal cancer awareness and prevention. Patients with celiac disease, along with their friends and family, are invited to attend monthly celiac support-group meetings hosted by DDA to learn more about the disease and its management through nutritional awareness.
DDA has been in the forefront of clinical research by conducting trials and contributing to new, groundbreaking medications for the treatment of hepatitis and other illnesses.
Our new Liver Center advances the care of patients with liver disease, helping to improve their conditions through education, research and value-based care.
In addition to treating disorders such as ulcerative colitis, irritable bowel disease, celiac disease, and Crohn’s disease, DDA now provides fast, painless, non-surgical hemorrhoid banding.
Striving for innovation, we are currently the only G.I. practice in Maryland treating patients with bowel incontinence using InterStim therapy. DDA continues to treat patients using infusion medications for G.I. conditions, as well as rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, psoriasis and iron-deficiency anemia.
The doctors and staff at Digestive Disease Associates adhere to a set of core values that includes professionalism, integrity, and focus on the patient. Clear communication is an important part of DDA’s mission: the doctors and staff ensure that patients never leave an appointment without clearly understanding their health condition and the recommended treatment plan.
Appointments can be scheduled by calling our office, requesting an appointment on our website, or scheduling through the online scheduling platform ZocDoc.
