Now through September 2009, Explorers Lounge (InterContinental Harbor Court Hotel, 550 Light St., 410-234-0550) is pouring a new specialty cocktail for every sign of the zodiac. Sagittarius, featured through Dec. 21, is the Orange Arrow, a mixture of Woodford Reserve Bourbon, orange marmalade, and a splash of fresh apple and lemon juices. Served in a Bordeaux glass, the smoothness of the top-shelf bourbon mellows the citrus flavors perfectly. Mountain Dusk is the choice for you independent, powerful, and charismatic Capricorns. Highlighted from Dec. 22 to Jan. 19, the concoction consists of Plymouth Gin with touches of sweet and dry vermouth, and splashes of orange and pomegranate juices. Served in an elegant martini glass, the drink provides a shot of warmth without the eye-popping punch of a straight martini. “We wanted to create drinks that individuals could relate a little bit of their personality to,” says Ronald Rawls Jr., assistant director of food and beverage. Each of the Constellation Cocktails is $16.
