Everything’s kosher at the pickle stand.

In a Pickle is a big hit for the variety of pickles he offers. One of the most popular is the classic kosher dill, soaked in vinegar. “Customers love this pickle because it’s less salty than most they’ve tried before,” says Gallant, who launched the pickle stand three years ago. The Baltimore native also has come up with some interesting flavors such as a sushi pickle, soaked in a brine solution of wasabi and soy sauce, an Old Bay pickle, and a horseradish pickle. His homemade sauerkraut also sells well during the fall months. One pickle devotee, Dallas Killian, frequents Gallant’s other location at the Eastern Market in D.C. He sums up his allegiance: “I admire Jason because of the love and time he puts into his customers.”
