The new Mo’s Seafood (1528 E. Joppa Rd., Towson, 410-823-3030)—with its pristine fish, giant menu, and handsome dining rooms—may bring the building back to its glory days. For years, the classy Orchard Inn occupied the spot, drawing guests like Sammy Davis Jr., until the restaurant closed in 1997. Mo’s, which has several other restaurants in town, completely refurbished the structure inside and out. The interior is pleasant and inviting, with wood floors and tables, pale gray walls, comfortable chairs, and an impressive granite bar. There’s also an outdoor crab deck and a market selling hard shells among other items. On a recent visit, we were impressed with the friendly service and the nine-ounce “Famous Jumbo Lump Crab Cake” entree ($14, small), pictured. We’ll be back.
