B&O American Brasserie has a new executive chef. Thomas Dunklin, currently the executive chef of Kimpton’s Red Star Tavern and Roast House in Portland, OR, is expected to start at the Baltimore restaurant by mid-December. A new menu from Dunklin will be released in spring 2011.
The current chef at B&O, E. Michael Reidt, will be leaving Dec. 10 and heading to another Kimpton restaurant, Area 31 in Miami, which was named one of Esquire magazine’s Best New Restaurants in 2009.
