Whole Foods stores in Harbor East and Mt. Washington are offering great prices on satsuma manadarins on Friday. I mentioned the promotion at the Harbor East store in a post yesterday.
But, today, I got a call from Molly Kushner, the marketing specialist at the Mt. Washington location, letting me know that they also are having the same sale tomorrow on the seasonal fruit: satsumas for 69 cents a pound (they’re usually $2.99 a pound). It's a national promotion, Molly said.
It gets even better. The Whole Foods stores are also selling cases of the seedless, easy-to-peel fruit on Friday, too. The cost is $17.25 a case (usually $62.25 a case)! There are about 25 pounds of the little mandarins in each box, Molly said.
Great snacks or stocking stuffers.
I know. My headline is lame. I just couldn't resist. The snow outside has made me light-headed.
