Havana Road Cuban Café, a cute storefront in the heart of Towson, is inviting area book clubs to meet in the restaurant on Monday or Tuesday evenings to enjoy desserts and beverages along with their book discussions.
I can recommend the luscious coconut flan and café con leche as a nice accompaniment for such a discourse. I had both when I was there today for lunch. I’ll write more about my meal in our February issue. Hint: The Cubano sandwich is great.
In the meantime, if you’re looking for a place to settle in for a gathering, you won’t go wrong here. The dining room with its charming mismatched tables and chairs (Grandma goes tropical), decorative cigar boxes, photos of Cuba, and pleasant mango-red and olive-hued walls will enhance any plot or character conversations.
