Chef Sammy Davis, now helming the kitchen at The Reserve in Federal Hill, will face other chef contestants competing for $10,000 on the Food Network show Chopped. The first episode of season six premieres at 10 p.m. tonight.
I haven’t gotten through all the hoops at the Food Network to talk to the chef about the show, but I did speak to Tara Gionfriddo, The Reserve’s front-of-the-house manager. She said the staff there is excited about the show but especially about having the chef at the restaurant.
“He’s redoing the menu, which we’ll introduce next week,” shea said. “We have a new brunch menu, too.”
Sammy started at The Reserve about four weeks ago. (The last I heard he was at CR Lounge before making the switch.)
Tonight, The Reserve will be airing the Chopped show, if you'd like to watch it with the chef. In this episode, the chefs must use goat brains in their appetizers, and, later, are faced with a “stinky surprise.”
